Uschebti in Mumiengestalt aus Fayence mit dunkelgrün schimmernder Glasur. Kopf mit Perücke und Bart, die vor der Brust gekreuzten Arme Dreschflegel und Feldhacke haltend. Darunter neunzeilige Inschrift, durch horizontale Linien getrennt. Die Inschrift nennt Psammetich, Sohn des Meri Neith, königlicher Schreiber. Abgesehen von minimalen Abplatzungen der Glasur unten links am Sockel und links am hinteren Ellbogen ausgezeichnet erhalten. Attraktives Uschebti eines hohen Beamten der Saitenzeit. Montiert auf Holzsockel. Höhe ohne Holzsockel 18,7 cm, mit Holzsockel 21,2 cm.
Provenienz: Belgische Privatsammlung, erworben in den 90er Jahren im belgischen Kunsthandel.

A faience ushabti with nine-line hieroglyphic inscription, 26th Dynasty (Saite Period), mid-1st millennium B.C.
Mummiform ushabti made of faience with a dark green, lustrous glaze. Head with wig and beard, the arms crossed in front of the chest, holding a flail and a crook. Below which is the nine-line inscription, separated by horizontal lines. The inscription names Psamtik, son of Meri Neith, a royal scribe. Apart from minor spalling of the glaze on the lower left of the pedestal and the back of the left elbow, in fine condition. Attractive ushabti of a high official during the Saite Period. Mounted on a wooden base. Height without wooden base 18.7 cm, including the base 21.2 cm.
Provenance: Belgian private collection, acquired in the Belgian art trade during the 1990s.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
