Second edition of Valerio Flacco's Argonautica which was published for the first time in 1517. This edition is accompanied by a more extensive commentary and contains various contents to the preface. There are elaborate large-format woodcut illustrations at the beginning of each book that tell the story of the epic poem. Blumenthal describes the Parisian printer as "the first star in the constellation of 16th-century printers" (Art of the Printed Book 1455-1955, p. 14).
Folio (310 x 195mm). Title within elaborate woodcut border with Jean Petit's printer's device (Variant B), large-format woodcut illustrations and elegant woodcut initials, text also printed in Greek (a little browned, C8 with repair with small loss in the lower margin, last two leaves with some repairs without major losses). Modern calf, title on paper label on spine, marbled paper slipcase. Provenance: some early annotations.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
