CHINA, Qianlong period
The Vase has a fin carved as a fearsome dragon carp rising from turbulent waves, mouth open, teeth bared, and a curved tail. His Beard, his mane and scales are worked out in Detail, with fine carved lines. The Jade itself has a pale tone with a few darker inclusions.

Provenance: French private collection, acquired at Christie's, London, 6. November 2012, Lot 152, formerly of John Sparks Ltd., London, and Sir Montague Burton (1885-1952) - Minim. rubbed
