Die Firma Ernst Hess begann 1872 als Akkordeonfabrik und handelte mit Instrumenten. 1880 nahm Hess als einziges Vogtländer Unternehmen bei der Weltausstellung in Melbourne (Australien) teil.
Das vorliegende Instrument mit Patina besitzt vier Ventile, die mit „6“ gepunzt sind und eine Wasserklappe (incl. Kork). Es erklingt ein B≈125 Hz, was einem Kammerton von a1≈472 Hz entspricht. Der Schallbecher besitzt eine homogene Lötnaht und ist gestempelt mit: Hess Musik Klingenthal SA[chsen].

The company Ernst Hess started in 1872 as an accordion factory and traded instruments. In 1880 Hess was the only company from Vogtland (Germany) to take part in the world exhibition in Melbourne (Australia).
The present instrument with patina has four valves, stamped with “6” and a water key (incl. cork). It sounds a B≈125 Hz, which corresponds to a concert pitch of a1≈472 Hz. The bell has a homogeneous soldered seam and is signed with: Hess Musik Klingenthal SA[chsen].

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
