Rechts unten signiert. Verso betitelt. Acryl auf Leinen. 220 x 160 cm. Nicht auf Keilrahmen aufgespannt, gewellt. Hängeleiste am oberen Bildrand. Die russische Performance-Künstlerin, Malerin und Modedesignerin, Vera Kochubey, zog 2011 nach Berlin. Sie fokussierte sich für mehr als 12 Jahre auf die Disziplin der Psychologie, entschied sich schlussendlich aber für das Schaffen von Kunst. "I did not understand the world I live in", Kochubey will diese Angst überwinden und über den Weg des Kunstschaffens für sich selbst klären, was Leben ist und wie die Welt funktioniert. Die Künstlerin hat ein besonderes Faible für Portraits und arbeitet mit expressionistischer Ähnlichkeit mit groben Pinselstrichen und kräftigen Farben. 2016 hatte Kochubey ihre erste Einzelausstellung "New Kingdom" in der The Art Scouts Gallery in Berlin, wobei sie schon davor auf Kunstmessen, wie der Art Basel, und Gruppenausstellungen vertreten war.
