Schlanker achtkantiger Lauf, nahe der Mündung wechselnde Gratung. Glatte Seele im Kaliber 14 mm. Eingeschobene Visierung aus Messing. Über der Kammer geschlagene Marke "PD" mit zwei Schlangen. Daneben Nürnberger Abnahme und ligierte Marke "NE". Schloss mit außenliegendem Rad, Sicherungshebel und gefederter Pfannenabdeckung. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Radabdeckung, fein gravierter Hahn und Hebel. Justierbarer Abzug. Vollschäftung aus Nussbaumholz (ehemals geschwärzt?) mit reichen Einlagen aus graviertem und geschwärztem Bein. Darstellung maritimer Fabelwesen, auf der Wange Nürnberger Meerjungfrau. Auf der Schaftunterseite und auf der Kolbenkappe Darstellung von Türken in zeitgenössischer Tracht. Der Kolben mit zwei Brandstempeln "N". Gefederter Kolbenkastendeckel. Originaler Ladestock mit eiserner Gewindehülse. Im Kolbenfach drei erhaltene, originale Aufsätze (Putzaufsatz, Kugelkrätzer, Verlängerungshülse). Länge 113,5 cm.
Hochwertige Nürnberger Radschlossbüchse in nahezu neuwertigem, unberührtem Zustand.

Narrow, octagonal barrel, alternating fullers near the muzzle. Smooth bore in 14 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass sights. The mark "PD" and two serpents struck at the breech, along with the Nuremberg proof mark and intertwined mark "NE". The lock fitted with an external wheel, safety lever and spring-lock pan cover. Openwork wheel cover, finely engraved cock and lever. Adjustable trigger. The full shaft made of walnut (possibly originally blackened) with lavish inlays of engraved and blackened bone. Depiction of maritime mythical creatures, a Nuremberg mermaid on the cheek piece. A depiction of Turks in contemporary dress on the underside of the stock and the butt cap. Two brand marks "N" on the butt. The lid of the patch box spring-loaded. Original ramrod with threaded iron sleeve. The patch box still containing three original attachments (cleaning rod, worm, extension sleeve). Length 113.5 cm.
A superlative Nuremberg wheellock rifle in almost mint, untouched condition.
Peter Danner is documented as a gunsmith in Nuremberg between 1583 and 1602.
