Ein Paar runde, gewölbte Silberfibeln. Zentral ein kreuzförmiges Motiv mit geschwungenen Armen. Im Zentrum und an den vier Enden je ein gefasster, transluzenter rötlicher Zierstein. Verzierungen unter anderem in Granulationstechnik. Rückseitig leicht konkave Innenplatte, darauf scharniergelagerte Nadel und Nadelhalter. Intakt. Durchmesser jeweils 4,4 cm. Gesamtgewicht 38 g.

An exquisitely preserved pair of silver Viking fibulae, 10th - 11th century
A pair of round, domed silver fibulae with a cross-shaped motif with curved arms at the centre. A translucent reddish stone set in the centre and at each of the four ends. Embellishments include granulation technique. A hinged pin and pin attachment mounted on the slightly concave inner plate on the back. Intact. Diameter of each 4.4 cm. Total weight 38 g.
