An election poster (tr.) "Act - don't rush, we belong together!" for the Deutschnationale Volkspartei, 1932
An early promotional poster. Lithography/colour print. A member of the DNVP in uniform shaking hands with a civilian. Published by the DN Schriftenvertriebsstelle, Berlin, poster 22, Edmund Gaillard offset printing, Berlin. Dimensions ca. 84 x 59 cm. The poster is laminated on linen for preservation purposes. Good condition with signs of age.
A rare poster of a party that existed from 1918 to 1933. The Deutschnationale Partei had nationalist, conservative-restorative goals that were directed against the constitution of the Weimar Republic and participated in some of the governments during the Weimar Republic. It strictly rejected the Treatise of Versailles, spread nationalist propaganda (Hugenberg press), and supported the NSDAP and its seizure of power.
