AN IVORY FEMALE FIGURE - India, probably Goa region, 18th/ 19th c. - Seated with both legs resting flat on the seat of a four-legged bench, its soles clasped against each other, both hands supporting each a child, wearing various garments including a mantle closed right over left, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, its pupils blackened, smiling lips and her hair combed backwards with a pair of tresses falling down her shoulders. - From an old southern German private collection, supplemented by inheritance in the 1950s and acquisitions in the 1960s to the 1980s - Trade certificate: The sales permit for this lot is available - Base chipped in the front area

Sie sitzt mit beiden Beinen flach auf der Sitzfläche einer vierbeinigen Bank, deren Sohlen aneinander geklammert sind, und stützt mit beiden Händen jeweils ein Kind, das verschiedene Gewänder trägt, darunter einen Mantel, der rechts über links geschlossen und mit Juwelen besetzt ist. Ihr Gesicht zeigt einen heiteren Ausdruck mit mandelförmigen Augen, deren Pupillen geschwärzt sind, lächelnden Lippen und nach hinten gekämmten Haaren, von denen ein Paar Strähnen über ihre Schultern fallen.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
