Seltene große Axt mit langem, vierfach gelochtem Blatt. Der Nacken mehrfach profiliert und mit halbkugeligem Abschluss. Das Schaftloch beiseitig verstärkt. Exzellente Eisensubstanz. Konserviert ohne Ergänzungen. Länge 24,5 cm.

Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung, erworben zu Beginn der 2000er Jahre auf Sammlermärkten in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Belgien und den Niederlanden.

A Viking ceremonial axe, 10th century
Rare large axe with a long, four-holed blade. The profiled neck with a hemispherical end. The shaft hole reinforced on both sides. Excellent iron substance. Preserved without additions. Length 24.5 cm.

Provenance: South German private collection, acquired in the early 2000s on art markets in North Rhine-Westphalia, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
