In tonigem Kolorit und schnellem, breitem Duktus gemalte Darstellung zweier Kühe am Waldrand, die von einer Figur in roter Jacke heimgetrieben werden. Um 1885-1890 entstandenes, charakteristisches Kabinettbild Buschs, in dessem malerischen Oeuvre unmittelbar zu erfassende Kühe und Bauern, ein bedeutendes Thema sind. Zudem findet sich im vorliegenden Gemälde auch das für ihn zentrale, sehr individuelle persönliche Motiv der sog. "Rotjacke" wieder - unter den über 1000 Gemälden und Skizzen finden sich circa 280, auf denen Figuren in einer für den bäuerlichen Alltag höchst außergewöhnlichen roten Jacke gekleidet sind. Das Werk spiegelt zugleich den unmittelbaren Einfluss niederländisch-flämischer Maler des 17. Jhs. auf den vor allem als humoristischen Zeichner und Dichter bekannten Künstler wider. Busch studierte 1851-1853 zunächst an der Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf und danach an der Akademie in Antwerpen, wo er begeistert die Alten Meister im Original sehen konnte. Die Antwerpener Zeit und die Kenntnis der niederländisch-flämischen Malerei des 17. Jhs., die ihn zutiefst prägte, bildeten die Grundlage für Buschs Tätigkeit als Maler. Öl/Karton. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
