William Beckford on his deathbed
A rosewood and brass line inlaid glazed rectangular case containing a gilt framed oval picture of William Beckford on his deathbed, against a burgundy background, within a rectangular gilt surround, surrounded by brass and giltwood fleur-de-lis, cinquefoil and Latimer cross.

Together with a set of six silver-gilt teaspoons, apparently unmarked, London c.1760. Each chased with Rococo motifs of shells and scrolls on matted ground, engraved with coat-of-arms of Beckford, 3 oz. 8 dwt. (107 gr.)
