First edition of this fine collection of plates depicting birds nests and eggs, all with extremely distinctive hand-colouring. The book was issued in 4 parts, of which accompanying text was only published for parts 1 and 2 (not present here). Anker 537; Nissen IVB 1002.



Folio (446 x 275mm). 102 engraved plates, with pl. LXIV in duplicate, one before letters, all coloured by a contemporary hand, 4 of the plates dated 1767, 1771, 1775 and 1786 (without title or accompanying text, occasional very minor insignificant soiling, but otherwise a clean, fresh copy). Contemporary quarter calf over speckled-paper covered boards, red morocco gilt spine label (extremities lightly rubbed, corners more heavily). Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
