Rastender polnischer Soldat mit seinem Pferd
Mit schnellem, virtuos lockerem Duktus gemalte Szene in impressionistischer Landschaft. Motiv- und stiltypisches Gemälde aus dem reifen Oeuvre Kossaks, einem der bedeutendsten polnischen Maler des späten 19. und beginnenden 20. Jhs.; Kossak, Sohn des polnischen Malers Juliusz Kossak, studierte 1871-1883 in Krakau, München und Paris. Ab 1883 erzielte er erste künstlerische Erfolge - mehrere Gemälde wurden von Museen und Kaiser Franz Joseph erworben. Ruhm brachte ihm das Panorama von Raclawice ein, das er 1894/95 mit Jan Styka schuf. 1895-1902 lebte er in Berlin, wo er als erfolgreicher Schlachten- und Porträtmaler u. a. für Kaiser Wilhelm II. arbeitete. 1913 wurde Kossak Professor an der Akademie in Warschau, 1914-1918 nahm er als Maler am Ersten Weltkrieg teil. Nach dem Krieg kam er in Kontakt mit einflussreichen, politschen und militärischen Persönlichkeiten wie Marschall Ferdinand Foch und Józef Pilsudski, die er auch porträtierte. 1923-1924 und 1928-1932 lebte er in den USA. Den Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeiten bildeten vor allem nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg die verschiedenen Themen der polnischen Geschichte und Zeitgeschichte sowie Schlachten aus den Napoleonischen Kriegen. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
