Fame brought him the Panorama of Raclawice, which he created in 1894/95 with Jan Styka. 1895-1902, he lived in Berlin, where he worked as a successful battle, and portrait painter, among other things, for Wilhelm II. 1913 Kossak Professor at the Academy in Warsaw, 1914-1918, he took part as a painter in the First world war.
