1947. Oil/canvas. 61,5 x 48,5 cm. Lo. ri. sign. Frankenstein, on the stretcher on label titled and dat. 1947. - German painter. F. attended evening classes at the Berlin School of Arts and Crafts from 1933-37, his teacher was Max Kaus. He was severely harassed by the National Socialists and banned from working in 1943. After the war, he initially worked as a freelancer. In 1952, Heinrich Ehmsen accepted him as a master student at the Academy of Arts. F. moved to the GDR in 1953, where he was a professor in Greifswald and Berlin from 1962-1983. Mus.: Berlin (Nat.-Gal., Berlinische Galerie), Bratislava, Budapest, Schwerin a. others. Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
