Stories in this influential collection include: Ole Lukoie, The Daisy, The Naughty Boy, Tommelise (Thumbelina), The Rose-Elf, The Garden of Paradise, A Night in the Kitchen, Little Ida's Flowers, The Constant Tin Soldier, and The Storks.
Octavo (160 x 120mm). Four hand-colored plates, including frontispiece. Original red cloth stamped in gilt, all edges gilt (rebacked, with original spine laid down; a little wear at tips).
