Württemberg: box, buckle, major General Alfred Breyer commander of the infantry-Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm, king of Prussia," (2. Württembergisches) Nr. 120. Big trapezoidal buckle with the following bands: 1.) Prussia: Iron Cross, 1914, 2. Class, 2.) Württemberg: Friedrich Order, Knights Cross 1. Class with swords 3.) Prussia: Red Eagle Order, 4. Class 4.)Officer service award for 25 years of service, 5.) Centennial medal (1897), 6.) Baden: Grand of the order of the Zähringer Löwen, knights cross 2 Duke. Class with oak leaves, 7.) Government jubilee medal 1902, 8.) Friedrich-Luisen-medal, red back cover with label of Otto Wennberg, Stuttgart. Breyer on 7. February 1861, born in Stuttgart, began his military career as a cadet in Lichterfelde and was at 25. In March 1904, with the order of the Zähringer lion, and two years later, with the government's diamond jubilee medal as a company chief in infantry Regiment 126 and decorated. 17. September, 1909, now a Major, was given to him as a battalion commander in Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 123 of the Red eagle order. On 1913 he was a Lieutenant Colonel and took over with the outbreak of the war in command of the Landwehr-infantry-Regiment 120, with which he participated in the Vosges, at the mountain warfare part, thereafter, a position of war in the forest of Apremont. In April 1915 he übernham the infantry-Regiment 120, and was promoted in July to Lieutenant Colonel. With the Regiment he was involved in both of the Somme battles. On 5. June, 1918, he was hit by a British air attack by a large shard of a dropped bomb in the back and succumbed to his injury. Condition: II
