Große Trapezschnalle mit den folgenden Bändern: 1.) Preussen: Eisernes Kreuz, 1914, 2. Klasse, 2.) Württemberg: Friedrichorden, Ritterkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwertern, 3.) Preussen: Roter Adler Orden, 4. Klasse, 4.)Offiziers-Dienstauszeichnung, für 25 Dienstjahre, 5.) Zentenarmedaille (1897), 6.) Baden: Großherzoglicher Orden vom Zähringer Löwen, Ritterkreuz 2. Klasse mit Eichenlaub, 7.) Regierungsjubiläumsmedaille 1902, 8.) Friedrich-Luisen-Medaille, rote Rückseitenabdeckung mit Etikett von Otto Wennberg, Stuttgart. Breyer am 7. Februar 1861 in Stuttgart geboren, begann seine militärische Laufbahn als Kadett in Lichterfelde und wurde am 25. März 1904 mit dem Orden vom Zähringer Löwen und zwei Jahre später mit der Regierungsjubliäumsmedaille als Kompanie-Chef im Infanterie Regiment 126 dekoriert. Am 17. September 1909, nun schon Major, wurde ihm als Bataillons-Kommandeur im Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 123 der Rote Adler Orden verliehen. Am 1913 war er Oberstleutnant und übernahm mit Kriegsausbruch das Kommando über das Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment 120 mit dem er in den Vogesen am Gebirgskrieg teilnahm, hiernach dann Stellungskrieg im Wald von Apremont. Im April 1915 übernham er das Infanterie-Regiment 120 und wurde im Juli zum Oberst befördert. Mit dem Regiment war er an beiden Somme-Schlachten beteiligt. Am 5. Juni 1918 wurde er bei einem englischen Fliegerangriff durch einen großen Splitter einer abgeworfenen Bombe im Rücken getroffen und erlag seiner Verletzung. Zustand: II
