Marilyn Farbserigraphie/Velin, 1990. Sign. u. nummeriert 71/100. Yvaral, Sohn von Victor Vasarely, studierte 1950-1953 Grafik an der Schule für angewandte Kunst in Paris. In den Folgejahrzehnten setzte er sich mit Op Art, abstrakt-geometrischer Kunst, kinetischer Kunst und Pop Art auseinander. 1960 war Yvaral Mitbegründer der "Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visual" (GRAV); 1964 nahm er an der documenta III in Kassel teil; 1975 prägte er den Begriff "Numerische Kunst" für Kunstwerke, die nach numerischen Regeln oder Algorithmen komponiert wurden. Mit Computern bearbeitete und zerlegte er Ursprungsbilder digital, um sie in Druckgrafiken und von Hand ausgeführte Gemälde umzusetzen. Hieraus resultierten auch seine von Warhol inspirierten Porträtserien ikonischer Bilder wie Marylin Monroe, Mona Lisa etc., die trotz ihrer Abstraktion, optisch-geometrischen und farblichen Effekten erkennbar blieben. Darstellung ca. 80 cm x 59,7 cm. Rahmen.
