Zartes Seiden-Stickmustertuch der Königin. Luise von Preußen (1776-1810)
Rechteckiges Seidentuch mit äußerst feiner Stickerei in sog. Knötchen- und Plattstichtechnik mit polychromen Seidengarn, Silber- und Goldfäden sowie teilw. Pailletten. Nahezu flächendeckend angeordnete, unterschiedliche Motive u. a. Darstellungen zarter Blumenbuketts und -körbe mit prächtigen Kornblumen (das Symbol Preußens und Lieblingsblume der Königin), Wicken, Hyazinthen und Veilchen, Schmetterlinge sowie Landschaftsmotive, Symbole für Glaube, Liebe und Hoffnung etc; Teilw. gestickte Inschriften. Zentrales Monogr. "FWR" unter Königskrone von Friedrich Wilhelm III. von Preußen (1770-1840). Darüber dargestellt der sternförmige Schwarze-Adler-Orden sowie seitlich die Darstellung des bekrönten preußischen Adlers mit Trophäen- und Fahnenbündeln. Später auf Karton montiert und gerahmt, verso mit Firmenetikett der Kaiserlichen Hoflieferanten Gebrüder Röhlich, Berlin. Unterhalb des Tuches im Rahmen auf gedrucktem Papieretikett bez."Eigenhändige Handarbeit der Königin Luise von Preussen". Altersspuren. Tuch: 64 cm x 39,5 cm. Rahmen.
Das Königspaar musste nach der Niederlage Preußens gegen Napoleons Frankreich fliehen und lebte von 1806 bis 1809 im Exil in Ostpreußen. Vermutlich sind die dargestellten Motive auch Sinnbilder für ihre persönliche Lebenssituation.
