Ein Paar gleichartige Wagenaufhängungen. Sechskantige, sich konisch nach oben verjüngende Tülle mit Loch auf der Vorderseite zur Fixierung auf Holzpflock. Oben nach einem markanten Absatz in einen Adlerkopf mit leicht geöffnetem Schnabel übergehend. Auf und über dem Absatz sowie auf dem Hinterkopf das Gefieder eingeritzt bzw. ziseliert. Anatomische Details von Augen und Schnabel klar akzentuiert. Auf beiden Seiten Köpfe von aufgebäumten Kobras mit aufgestelltem Nackenschild, auch diese mit fein ausgearbeiteten, lebensnahen anatomischen Details. Wunderschöne grüne Patina mit blauen Einsprengseln, die wie eine Marmorierung wirken. Höhe 15 cm, Breite 14 cm.
Ausgesprochen schöne und in dieser Qualität selten anzutreffende, figural verzierte Wagenaufhängungen.

A pair of identical chariot suspensions. The hexagonal socket tapering conically upwards, with an aperture on the front to attach it to a wooden pole. Extending after a pronounced shoulder on the top into an eagle's head, its beak slightly open. The eagle's plumage etched and chiselled on and over the shoulder and on the back of its head. Anatomical details of the eyes and beak clearly delineated. Heads of cobras rearing up on both sides, their hoods inflated. These heads also embellished with finely wrought, lifelike anatomical details. Exquisite green patina, sprinkled with blue dots that give the impression of marbling. Height 15 cm, width 14 cm.
Exceptionally beautiful chariot suspensions, with figural ornaments. Seldom found in this quality.
