An Egyptian Bastet bronze, Late Period, 7th - 4th century B.C.
Finely proportioned, naturalistically depicted, seated figure of the goddess Bastet in the form of a cat with her forepaws together, her tail curving forward around the proper right side and extending just beyond the forepaws, the head with erect ears. Fully cast figure on a hollow bronze basis. Fixed to a wooden stand. Beautiful patina. Traces of age. Intact. Height 10 cm (with spikes 12 cm).

Sitzende Bastet-Figur, Bronze, Ägypten, Spätzeit, 7. - 4. Jhdt. v. Chr.
Ansprechende, fein proportionierte, naturalistisch dargestellte Figur der Göttin Bastet in Katzenform. Mit parallelen Vorderläufen. Der Schwanz um die eigene rechte Seite nach vorne gebogen und knapp über die Vorderpfoten hinausreichend. Der Kopf mit gespitzten Ohren. Bronzevollguss bis auf die hohle Basis. Auf Holzsockel montiert. Schöne Patina. Intakt. Höhe 10 cm, mit den Befestigungsdornen 12 cm.
