Pyotr Tarasovych Maltsev (Russian: Пётр Тарасович Мальцев) was a Soviet and Russian artist. He is known as a painter, the author of paintings on military and historical subjects, as well as the creator of dioramas and panoramas.
Pyotr Maltsev also became famous for the posters created during the Great Patriotic War, devoted to the struggle of the Soviet people against the Nazi invaders. His posters were notable for their panoramic views, jewelry elaboration of details and meticulous execution, which brought them closer to the battle paintings. The military and historical themes in the artist's work were combined with peaceful, lyrical landscapes.
Yevgeny Alexandrovich Lanceray (Russian: Евгений Александрович Лансере) was a 19th-century Russian sculptor of French origin. He is known as an animalist. Lanceray throughout his career depicted horses, including creating subjects on a historical theme. At the same time he was professionally engaged in breeding horses.
All in all Lanceray created about 400 sculptures. His works are represented in a number of museums — in particular, in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, etc.
