Alexey Vasilievich Tyranov
Alexey Vasilievich Tyranov (Russian: Алексей Васильевич Тыранов) was a Russian artist of the first half of the 19th century. He is known as a painter, portraitist and genre painter.
Alexey Tyranov is considered one of the brightest masters of the so-called "Venetsianov school": his talent was highly appreciated by his teacher, the artist Alexey Venetsianov. The heyday of Tyranov's art came in the second half of the 1820s - first half of the 1830s, during this period his best works were created, distinguished by sentimentality and lightness. Later the artist began to lean toward academism, including in the biblical subjects.
