Clara von Bayern

Princess Clara von Bayern, full name Clara Eugenie Christina Gabriele Alexandrina Marie Theresia Euphemia Zenaide Prinzessin von Bayern (Clara Eugenie Christina Gabriele Alexandrina Marie Theresia Euphemia Zenaide Prinzessin von Bayern) was a German princess and artist.

Clara von Bayern, granddaughter of King Ludwig I, began her artistic education with the floral painter Natalie von Nikitin. Impressed by plein air painting and influenced by the Fraueninsel artists' circle in Kimsee, she took landscape painting lessons from Hiasl Meyer-Erding, and in the 1920s created still lifes and portraits. Clara regularly exhibited her work as part of the art group Die Frauenwörther.

Clara von Bayern was also abbess of St. Anne's Convent in Würzburg, a lady of the orders of the Star Cross, Therese and St. Elizabeth, and Grand Master of the Order of St. Anne of the Ladies of the Würzburg Convent.
