George Lourens Kiers
George Lourens Kiers was a Dutch marine painter, watercolourist and etcher. He was born to Petrus Kiers and Elisabeth Alida Haanen. His parents were painters. Kiers was tutored by Johan Hendrik Louis Meijer. In particular, he painted sea and river views with ships, and also created etchings and watercolors. He was a member of "Arti et Amicitiae" in Amsterdam.
