Helmert Richard van der Flier
Helmert Richard van der Flier was a Dutch landscape and animal painter. Van der Flier was a student of James de Rijk in Hilversum. He then returned to Baarn and worked there as a landscape and animal painter. He mostly painted grazing cows and sheep. He was a member of the "Arti et Amicitiae" in Amsterdam and the "Pulchri Studio" association in The Hague. Flier took part in art exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Arnhem. His works can be found i.a. in the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen Rotterdam.
