Helmert Richard van der Flier
Helmert Richard van der Flier was a Dutch landscape and animal painter. Van der Flier was a student of James de Rijk in Hilversum. He then returned to Baarn and worked there as a landscape and animal painter. He mostly painted grazing cows and sheep. He was a member of the "Arti et Amicitiae" in Amsterdam and the "Pulchri Studio" association in The Hague. Flier took part in art exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Arnhem.
