Hendrik Jan Hein
Hendrik Jan Hein was a Dutch flower and still life painter, brother of the painter Christianus Hendricus Hein. He was a student of Jacob Plugger (drawing) and Joannes Esman (painting) in Hilversum. He worked in Hilversum from 1842 to 1845, in 1846 he undertook a study trip to Bentheim and Kleve, then stayed in Haarlem in 1847 and 1848 and settled in his hometown of Kampen in 1849. In addition to the paintings, he also created etchings with flowers, fruits and game.
