Jacob Rieter

Jacob Rieter was a Swiss painter and draftsman.

Rieter received his art education in Switzerland, worked in France and Germany, and in 1804 came to Copenhagen, where he studied the costumes of the inhabitants of the region. As a result, a set of prints depicting the national costumes of Denmark was published, which Rieter prepared together with the artist Johannes Zenn (1780-1861).
