Jean Kapeinick was a Belgian painter who specialized in traditional realistic still life paintings of flowers, fruits, vegetables and tropical plants. However, in terms of concept, he adhered to the romantic conventions of the genre. His art was highly appreciated by the bourgeois public with traditional taste.
