Marie Augustin Zwiller
Marie Augustin Zwiller was a French designer, painter and drawer. Most of his works are women's portraits often with elements of eroticism. Marie-Augustin Zwiller was orphaned early and worked in a cloth printing factory. He was responsible for the design of the drawings, which later enabled him to attend the drawing school in Mulhouse. While the artist was still alive, the Zwiller Prize was established in his honour and awarded to French painters. The Zwiller Prize was last awarded in 1955.
