Richard von Poschinger

Richard Ludwig Josef Ritter und Edler von Poschinger was a German painter who specialized in atmospheric landscapes. He studied under Adolf Lier and traveled extensively throughout Europe, exhibiting his works at the Munich Art Association and winning medals in international exhibitions. Poschinger's paintings focused on the simple beauty of nature and were influenced by the Barbizon school and the tradition of southern German mood landscapes. He was part of the naturalistic movement of Munich painters who played a significant role in the last era of southern German outdoor painting.
