Wilhelm August Wrage
Wilhelm August Wrahe is a German painter. From 1898 to 1900 he studied at the Royal University of Fine Arts in Berlin and received a silver medal. In his senior year, he won first prize in a public competition for a painting of the town hall in St. Johann an der Saar (today Saarbrücken). He belonged to the Association of Berlin Artists and the Reich Association of German Artists. He painted portraits, genre paintings, historical paintings and still lifes in the style of late romanticism. His main work is the painting of the town hall of St. Johann in Saarbrücken (1900–1903).
