Dietrich Langko

Dietrich Langko was a German painter of the second half of the 19th century. He is known as a landscape painter who worked in the Romantic style.

Langko, while studying decorative arts in Hamburg, became interested in landscape and took lessons from the landscape painter Jakob Gensler. His first painting depicted the mouth of the Elbe. Having developed his own style, the artist developed it, creating landscapes around Munich, the Bavarian Highlands and his native places in Northern Germany.
