In art I always was seeking for the opportunity to make the viewer feel the picture as something alive, to feel the presence. But not only with the help of classical techniques, or not only with the help of it, but more through associative, subconscious or intuitive.
Using various objects, fabrics, textures, you can create something you can touch to change, something that is exposed to the environment, natural and aging. And that can revive the canvas.
It was always paradoxical for me to feel impressionism more alive comparing to classical realism, I found the key to this answer in Alla prima techniques emotions and admiration are instantly imprinted on the canvas.
Therefore, I try to create work as quick as possible so as not to move out to another environment. To create a good picture you have to live it, survive it.
Even if the picture is not completed, then it will provide an opportunity viewer's imagination.

At recent moment I am working on a new direction "Anrealism".

Studied interior design and architecture , joined the global art League 2014.
Was exhibiting works in Russia, USA, Israel.
2015 Relocated to Israel, joined the community of artists there.
In 2018 married and relocated to Austria where recently living.
Since childhood, I was surrounded by bunch of books about history of Italian art and architecture, and also most often visited this country with parents who were dealing with fashion boutiques. Grandmother was teacher of piano and singing , given private lessons. So house was fulfilled with atmosphere which motivated me to start creating from age of 3.

Каждый день, когда ночь накрывает планету и она замедляет свой бег, когда в глубине космоса рождаются новые звёзды, затихает шум городов и засыпают сверчки, а свежий воздух льётся над полями - я начинаю улавливать вибрацию космоса. И начинается магия. Голос свыше зовёт и приглашает в фантастическое путешествие в яркий мир, залитый светом, любовью и радостью. Подчиняясь призыву, я преодолеваю пространство и время, посещая другие планеты или отправляясь в прошлое нашей Земли. Моё сознание отправлется туда, где я не был никогда и нет границ фантазиям. Что это? Сон или явь? Или сон наяву?
В сиреневом тумане как будто я лечу, и передо мной встают волшебные миры с фантастическими видениями. Всё это настолько явно, что запоминается каждая маленькая деталь, кажда росинка на траве и каждый луч света, играющий в цветах. Это настощее чудо, приятное как чистая горная вода и Магия каждого дня. И эти приливы радостных желаний к творчеству повторяются постоянно.
Отображая этот мир в своих картинах, я хочу передать тебе салют своих безумных ярких чувств, чтобы ты поверил в добрую магию так же сильно, как и я.

Emotions are very important to me. All my life is at this particular moment. It’s like improvisation in music. You need to explain all life in one moment, in one phrase, in one white square…
I love colors, I love paint, and I love canvas, white canvas. I like even prepare a canvas for painting, I just love to be an artist.
I feel my self so liberated when creating art. First, because I can produce something that is influence on human’s mood or state of mind, and second because I can escape this reality. And I like this feeling.
My paintings have been sold for years to offices, shops and private residences in Canada, Australia, USA, Europe etc. Up until now in 18 countries.
Дмитрий Матковский — художник-синестет. В психологии существует понятие «синестезии», особого способа восприятия действительности, когда информация, полученная определёнными органами чувств, приобретает дополнительное качественное значение. Дмитрий Матковский, в свою очередь, имеет «цветовой слух». Художник воспринимает звуки через цвет, а свои работы называет «музыкой на холсте».
Убедиться в особенности своих ощущений автору выпал шанс довольно рано: его школьная группа, «Мануфактура», стала победителем первого Ленинградского Рок-фестиваля, после чего он 10 лет играл в составе «АукцЫона»
Оказавшись в Канаде в 2001 г. ДМ полностью отдался миру живописи. 10 лет жизни в Сев. Америке оформили его как профессионала в области изобразительного искусства, заставили говорить о нем в мире галерейного бизнеса. За это время Более 240 работ ДМ были куплены частными коллекционерами и музеями Америки, Европы и Японии.
В настоящий момент Дмитрий Матковский живет в СПб и продолжает заниматься живописью, 3D анимацией, дизайном, музыкой, йогой, а также публицистическим творчеством.

In 2009, I successfully graduated from Samara State Socio-Pedagogical University, Department of Transcultural Communications.
I specialize in interior art, working in various techniques via modern trends, exploring materials possibilities, and different approaches to painting.

Уроженец Свердловской области, родился 15 июня 1959 года. Вместе с родителями побывал во многих уголках Урала. Уроки рисования и живописи получил в Изостудии г. Алапаевска, где жил до 17 лет, пока не поступил в Свердловский архитектурный институт, ныне Уральская государственная архитектурно-художественная академия, закончил ее в 1981 г.
После окончания Академии получил диплом художника-конструктора и в течение года преподавал на кафедре скульптуры.
После службы в армии переехал с семьей в г.Калуга, где занялся проектированием городской среды в отделе строительства и архитектуры городского управления. Масштабные и многочисленные проекты городского дизайна Калуги, как исторического русского города, выполненные во времена перестройки, открыли путь к должности Главного художника города.
В 1993 году вернулся в Екатеринбург, где продолжил творческую карьеру уже в качестве свободного дизайнера. Здесь началась работа над созданием собственного стиля мебели, которая велась наряду с архитектурными проектами магазинов и кафе. Работы этого периода осели в Областном музее народных ремесел и Североуральском краеведческом музее Свердловской области.
В 2004-2006 годах работал в творческой мастерской под руководством А.А.Лысякова, известного в Екатеринбурге кузнеца и художника. Работы этого периода весьма разнообразны: от небольших сувениров до мощных комплектов скульптурной мебели и плетеной скульптуры.
В 2013-2014 годах начал работать над живописными этюдами. Великолепная природа Болгарии пробудила давнее желание писать пейзажи. А реальную творческую активность - приглашение участвовать в художественной выставке в Болгарии.
В данное время занимаюсь деревянной скульптурой и создаю графические и живописные работы в разнообразных жанрах: пейзаж, городской пейзаж, натюрморт.
