Friedrich Kallmorgen was a German Impressionist painter who specialized in landscapes and cityscapes.
Arnold Balwé was a German post-impressionist painter.
He studied at the Antwerp Academy of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, traveled extensively and painted landscapes he saw. Balwe's work is characterized by color intensity and vitality.
Georg Hambüchen was a German landscape painter, representative of the Dusseldorf school of painting and son of the famous impressionist Wilhelm Hambüchen.
Daniel Herman Anton Melbye was a Danish painter and photographer who specialized in maritime scenes. He was the brother of painters Vilhelm and Fritz Melbye.
Andreas Achenbach was a German landscape and seascape painter in the Romantic style. He is considered to be one of the founders of the Düsseldorf School.[citation needed] His brother, Oswald, was also a well known landscape painter. Together, based on their initials, they were known as the "Alpha and Omega" of landscape painters.
