Hawoli, real name Hans-Wolfgang Lingemann, is a German painter and sculptor from Lower Saxony.
Hawoli began studying engineering in 1956 and has been working as a freelance artist since 1962. Since the early 1970s he has also created larger sculptures, often in natural stone and steel. Among his landmark works in public space are Fragment , four fallen red-and-black granite pillars in front of the Reich House in Bremen.
Havoli's artistic style is characterised by a bold and vibrant use of colour, expressive brushwork and dynamic compositions. His works often convey a sense of energy and movement, capturing the viewer's attention and evoking a variety of emotions.
