Ingrid Schaar is a German artist, draftsman and graphic artist.
Ingrid Schaar, who studied fashion graphics, taught at the University of Applied Design Sciences in Bielefeld until 1968, after which she turned to dance and theater. She was particularly fascinated by the human body in motion: while attending rehearsals, she recorded the moments, the artists' gestures with quick, precise strokes. Theatrical drawings, however, are only a part of Ingrid Schaar's work. Her works are on display in museums and archives all over the world.
