Edward Harrison Compton was a German landscape painter and illustrator of English descent.
Like his father he was inspired by the Alps to become a mountain painter (Bergmaler) working in both oils and watercolour. However, an attack of Polio at the age of 28 meant that he had to find more accessible landscapes to paint in Germany, England, northern Italy and Sicily. He also provided illustrations for several travel books published by A & C Black.

I am Ukrainian artist based in Kyiv.
I was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia in 1991. I completed my studies in art at the Grekov Odessa Art school successfully in the year 2013. From 2013 until 2019 I continued my art education at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture, painting department.
For me, the process of creating a picture is very important. It takes a lot of time to search for color harmony and building a rhythmic composition. At first, I do everything spontaneously, focusing only on feelings. Only then follows the stage of analysis of each step. I spend a lot of time and effort on this so that the result becomes simple and accurate as my first impression of the plot I saw.
It is this process that, like a black hole, delays all emotions and forces and leads me to that side where only a pure feeling. Images free from reality, from conditionality and understandable for everyone on a subconscious level. In my paintings, I try to convey the joy of being, a beautiful image arising from simple things. I am inspired by my life experience, and sometime poetry. Painting is like meditation for me.

Tatyana Alekseevna Mavrina (Russian: Татьяна Алексеевна Маврина) was a Soviet and Russian artist of the twentieth century. She is known as a painter, graphic artist and illustrator of children's books. Mavrina worked in the genres of portrait, landscape and still life in a style close to primitivism. She boldly experimented with watercolor, gouache and easel graphics.
Tatyana Mavrina is also known as a researcher of folklore. She traveled extensively to distant cities, got acquainted with folk art, made sketches of old architecture. By the drawings of Mavrina later researchers studied the life of the Russian provinces.
For her contribution to the illustration of children's books Mavrina was awarded the State Prize of the USSR, as well as the international literary prize named after HK Andersen. Mavrina's works, as well as her collection of handicrafts are kept in the Russian Museum and the Pushkin Museum.

I`m Lyudmila Ryabkova. I was born in 1973 in Kiev, Ukraine.
I graduated technical college and got second higher economic education. I studied at the privat art studio of Ukrainian professional artist. My works find feedback from people, they are bought, it inspires me very much. My workshop is equipped right in my house and it makes possible to work every day. This is the most beautiful thing that happens to me.
