Marsden Hartley, real name Edmund Hartley, was an American artist and poet, one of the greatest representatives of classical modernism in the United States.


Jonathan Lasker is an American abstract painter whose work has played an integral role in the development of Postmodern Painting. He currently lives and works in New York City.
Lasker has been awarded National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship Grants in 1987 and again in 1989. In 1989 he was also awarded the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship Grant.
