Ignaz Elhafen was an Austrian Baroque sculptor.
Ignaz Elhafen was born in Innsbruck, where he received an artistic education: he learned the art of woodcarving. Then in Rome he perfected his skills in the artistic processing of ivory. Later he worked as court painter for the Elector in Düsseldorf.
Gretchen Wohlwill was a painter and member of the Hamburg Secession. She was one of the German students at the Académie Matisse in Paris and developed a painting style influenced by French avant-garde art. In addition to painting, graphics were a focus of her work. Persecuted by the National Socialists because of her Jewish background, she emigrated to Portugal in 1940. After twelve years in exile, she returned to Hamburg in 1952.
Arnold Balwé was a German post-impressionist painter.
He studied at the Antwerp Academy of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, traveled extensively and painted landscapes he saw. Balwe's work is characterized by color intensity and vitality.
