Nathaniel Hawthorne is an American writer and author.
Hawthorne is a recognized short story writer and a master of allegorical and symbolic narrative. One of the first fiction writers in American literature, he is best known for his works The Scarlet Letter (1850) and The House of Seven Gables (1851). Hawthorne's artistic works are considered part of the American Romantic movement and, in particular, of so-called dark Romanticism, a popular mid-19th-century fascination with the irrational, the demonic, and the grotesque.
Rebecca Horn is a German visual artist, who is best known for her installation art, film directing, and her body modifications such as Einhorn (Unicorn), a body-suit with a very large horn projecting vertically from the headpiece. She directed the films Der Eintänzer (1978), La ferdinanda: Sonate für eine Medici-Villa (1982) and Buster's Bedroom (1990). Horn presently lives and works in Paris and Berlin.

Ena Swansea is an American artist and photographer.
She studied painting and film at the University of South Florida and her visual work is influenced by film and photography. Ena Swansea works primarily with graphite-based oil paints, often painting vivid figures on a dark, shimmering background.
Clifford Smith is an American landscape painter.
Smith studied at Southern Connecticut State College and the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. He has had numerous solo exhibitions since the late 1970s and has also participated in group exhibitions across the country.
Clifford Smith's works appear at first glance to be photographs, so realistically are they painted. Whether depicting ocean expanses or urban and rural landscapes, the artist conveys the tension and sensuality of nature.
