Jean-François Millet was a French artist and one of the founders of the Barbizon school in rural France. Millet is noted for his paintings of peasant farmers and can be categorized as part of the Realism art movement. Toward the end of his career, he became increasingly interested in painting pure landscapes. Ivan Vasilievich Kliun (Russian: Иван Васильевич Клюн) was a Russian artist of the first half of the twentieth century. He is known as a painter, graphic artist, sculptor, and art theorist.
Ivan Kliun is considered one of the brightest masters of the Russian avant-garde, fond of Suprematism and Cubo-Futurism. He was also one of the few representatives of purism in Russia. The artist also painted still lifes and landscapes in the traditional realistic style.
