Auguste Nicolas Trémont was a painter and sculptor from Luxembourg.
He studied in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts, worked in a steelworks and practiced drawing. He later found his favorite subject in sculpture - animals, especially big wild cats. The entrance to Luxembourg City Hall is adorned by two large lions sculpted by Tremont.
