Abandoned otel "Parus", Dnipro city
The construction of the hotel dates back to 1975. By 1978 the floors had been driven out, and in 1979, according to all calculations, the building had to be put into operation. But funding from the central budget was stopped, and the city was not able to cope with such an object by itself. By 1995 the construction had still being going on, though very slow, even windows and doors were partially installed. Experts estimated that half a year of hard work remained. But then the funding stopped completely. The hotel was abandoned until 2005, when it was bought by a private company, committing itself to building there a dwelling house within 10 years. However, nothing has changed since. So now the hotel remains only a great lure for tourists and roofers.

Строительство отеля началось в 1975 году. В 1979 году, по всем расчетам, здание должно было быть сдано в эксплуатацию. Но финансирование из центрального бюджета было остановлено, и город не смог справиться с таким объектом самостоятельно. К 1995 году строительство продолжалось, хотя и очень медленно, даже окна и двери были частично установлены. Эксперты подсчитали, что осталось полгода напряженной работы. Но потом финансирование полностью прекратилось и отель был заброшен до 2005 года, когда его купила частная компания, обязавшаяся в течение 10 лет сделать из него жилой здание. Однако с тех пор ничего не изменилось. Сейчас отель остается лишь большой приманкой для туристов и руферов
