Ernst Rudolf Baerwind was a German painter. Baerwind studied at the art academies in Munich, Berlin and Paris. Baerwind's work was initially based on early German Expressionism. After a surrealist phase, he was influenced in Paris by the painting of the École de Paris and by Informel and then found his way to the International Style.

James Lee Byars was an American conceptual artist and performance artist specializing in installations and sculptures, as well as a self-considered mystic. He was best known for his use of personal esoteric motifs, and his creative persona that has been described as "half dandified trickster and half minimalist seer".
Byars' notable performance works include The Death of James Lee Byars and The Perfect Smile, and in terms of multiple sculptures, the many letters he wrote that were composed as decorated sculptures.
Sandro Chia is an Italian painter and sculptor. In the late 1970s and early 1980s he was, with Francesco Clemente, Enzo Cucchi, Nicola De Maria, and Mimmo Paladino, a principal member of the Italian Neo-Expressionist movement which was baptised Transavanguardia by Achille Bonito Oliva.
Roberto Crippa was an Italian painter and sculptor. He studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, where he developed his artistic skills by exploring different styles and techniques.
Crippa's early work was influenced by Surrealism, with its dreamy and symbolic images. However, he soon moved away from figurative representation and began to use abstraction. His artistic style evolved into a unique combination of abstraction and geometric forms.
One of Crippa's notable contributions to art was his involvement in the Movimento Arte Concreta (Concrete Art) movement in Italy. This movement advocated non-representational art, emphasizing geometric forms, mathematical precision and a focus on the formal aspects of art. Krippa's work from this period demonstrates a fascination with grids, lines and geometric patterns.
Jean Miotte was a French abstract painter, in the style known as L'Art Informel. His work was preserved and studied by the Miotte Foundation and is in the collections of museums including: MoMA and the Guggenheim in New York, Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris and Haus der Kunst in Munich.
Cornelius Völker is a German painter who lives and works in Düsseldorf and New York.
He studied at the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts and is a professor of painting at the Münster Academy of Art.
Völker's work is characterized by colorful, figurative representations of everyday situations and even insignificant everyday objects in part abstract, part figurative interpretations. The artist has a special method of working with paint and creates photorealistic paintings.
