This is one of the series of my abstract paintings, that are made to express emotion through a body image. This painting means a lot to me, as I was aiming to raise awareness of sexual abuse that hundreds of thousands of women may face every day. It also honors the strength and power of women who have gone through those horrible events. People should stop shaming and blaming women if they’ve been sexually abused. This is not the norm.
