Curved Louis XV Sauteuse Commode in Floral Marquetry 18th Century Wood 18th century
We present you this wonderful 18th-century chest of drawers in the transitional style of Louis XV features a curved design and delicate floral marquetry patterns. It comes with two front drawers, showcasing finely crafted floral marquetry that adds a touch of luminosity to the piece. The two sides are adorned by motifs of a flower vase each, encircled by Greek net patterns. It is made of rosewood with lemonwood decorations and is topped with a grey grooved breccia marble with white veining. Rich gilded bronze decorations embellish the legs, handles, entrances, and lamp base, featuring acanthus leaf designs. This chest is mounted on a traditional 18th-century fir frame and retains its original locks from the period. It has been expertly revarnished and is in perfect condition. With its compact size, its ideal for decorating an entryway, bedroom, or boudoir.
