Bronze figure of a Russian dancer. Paul PHILIPPE 1920 Bone Early 20th century
 P. Philippe (1870-1930). Chryselephantine bronze and ivory figure of a Russian dancer circa 1920. It is a luxurious example of Art Deco sculpture. The energetic and impetuous dance froze at its climax. The girl froze on one leg, grabbing the space with her hands. The stormy and extremely truthful plasticity of the fabric is set off by the smooth surface of the bones, open arms and chest. The figure itself is full of expression and twisted in a spiral, where the heavy oriental belt is balanced by the impulse of the body and the tilt of the face. Signed on the foot. CITES certified.
