Figure in the Art Deco style Biscuit (porcelain) 20th century
Biscuit figure Dying Gall. Made from the sculpture of the same name of the Hellenistic era. The sculpture, in terms of naturalism and drama, belongs to the heights of ancient art. Gallus is depicted lying on a shield, naked, except for the neck bondage. Was a response to the collision of the Greek world with the waves of migration of peoples. Attributed to the court sculptor Attalus I - Epigon. H-9.5 cm. Germany. Early 20th century.
